I have really fine hair, but lots of it. In other words, I have plenty of hair strands, but each strand is painfully fine. My hair also thinks it wants to be curly when left natural, but it’s not really curly – it’s more a frizz-fest…lol!
I wanted a straightener that a) wouldn’t weight my hair down to the point of being a flat mop, b) heated up quickly c) wasn’t really heavy, and d) I could also use to curl my hair.
I personally didn’t want a “wet to dry” type flat iron because I need to blow dry my hair to encourage it to have some volume and direction. I wanted an iron that would smooth my hair and, as I said before, be good to give smooth curls as well. I opted for a CHI and I’m really happy with it.
